Conflict in Colombia

A young girl receive Holy Communion during mass at a church in Saravena, Aruaca, Colombia. Aruaca is a heavily disputed region being rich in oil and a main coca producing area. Control is fought for by two rebel groups; the ELN and the FARC as well as the rightwing AUC. There is a large presence of Government forces; some of whom have been trained by US Special Forces who are also based there.
