Unexploded ordanance

Southern Lebanon is littered with unexploded bombs after the month long Israeli bombardment. Many areas are strewn with 'Cluster Bombs', small bomlets that are dispersed by a larger bomb. Many do not explode on impact and are driven over, kicked or picked up by children. They are very unstable and are packed with ball bearing-like shapnel which upon detonation can spread up to 100 yards. The Lebanese Army today handed out leaflets at roadblocks warning the population to take care and not to touch any unusual looking devices.
