Iraq US Combat support hospital

28 December 2004.Mosul, Iraq.Combat Support Hospital/Mosul..The 67 Combat Support Hospital at Forward Operating Base Diamond Back in Mosul Iraq dealt with more than 90 casualties on the 21 December when a suicide bomber attacked the dining facility at FOB Marez. The attack was the costliest single incident in terms of US Forses deaths and casualties since the begining of the war...The hospital is equipped to deal with almost all types of operations and treatment only a few special cases need evacuating to other hopitals within Iraq or onwards to Germany...A US soldier whose patrol was attacked by an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) is given a CT (Computed Tomography) scan...Major George Smith examines the patients pupils to help determine his condition.
