Iraq 'Eagle VCP'

12 October 2005.Basra, Iraq..'Eagle VCP'..On 12 October 2005 days before Iraq's Referendum, soldiers of A Company 1st Royal Irish Regiment perform 'Eagle VCP's' on rural roads in the Basra area. The team is transported by Sea King helicopter from base to the roadway where the set up a vehichle checkpoint. They check drivers documents and search vehicles for weapons and explosives in their ongoing efforts to disrupt insurgent activity in the area.
