1 July 2004.Hallabja, Iraq..On the 16th March 1988 Saddams forces attacked the town of Hallabja by air with chemical weapons. More than 5000 townsfolk died in the attack. Many more were permanantly disabled after breathing in the gas. Birth defects are still common as a result of the attack..Hallabja now has a museum to commemorate the attack, it contains recreated scenes from the day of the attack as well as art work and photographs..
